Alpha Xi Delta

Iota Pi at Coastal Carolina University

Letter From Membership Vice President

Dear Potential New Members,

First, I would like to formally congratulate you on your acceptance to Coastal Carolina University! The Iota Pi chapter of Alpha Xi Delta welcomes you with open arms to the charming city of Conway, South Carolina. I truly believe that attending Coastal Carolina University and giving yourself the opportunity to join the Greek Community will enrich not only your academic experience, but will push you to realize your potential. Every sorority on campus has something unique to offer; I hope that by going Greek you will find what I have found here at Alpha Xi Delta.

Some of my favorite memories I have with sisters include times when we are supporting each other. Having someone cheering you on and hoping for your happiness and success is something that we too often take for granted. I came into college not having the slightest idea of what I wanted to do with the rest of my life and by joining Greek Life I have found a support system of sisters who root for me and help me overcome obstacles along the way. Because of our special sisterhood, I have taken on a large leadership role and received nothing but positive reinforcement and advice to help me succeed. Our sisters strive everyday to reflect our values of sisterhood, knowledge, leadership, and service.

Making the transition into the college lifestyle is overwhelming, which is why our sisters plan and prepare year-round for Formal Recruitment. We hope the connections we make with women during recruitment will help ease your transition into student life at CCU.  Upon starting your journey through formal recruitment, keep in mind these simple questions: Where do I want to call my home? Who will help me become the best version of myself? Where will I succeed with an amazing support system by my side? I found my answers in Alpha Xi Delta.

I encourage you to explore the rest of our website to see all that our chapter has to offer you. On behalf of the Iota Pi Chapter, I wish you all the best throughout your years here at Coastal Carolina University. My sisters and I can’t wait to meet you soon!

XOXi,

Iota Pi Membership Vice President

What to Expect During Recruitment:

Sisterhood:

Sisterhood round is the first round of Recruitment where you get an introduction to every sorority. Each chapter room is decorated to show the chapter's personality. The sisters get to show you their favorite things about their chapter!

Philanthropy

Each Chapter is going to explain their philanthropy and tell you how to get involved throughout the year. You will also get a little breakdown of the financial aspects of being in a sorority.

Preference Day

Preference parties are the last parties before bid day. They are more serious than the other parties throughout the week. Each Chapter will express how their sisterhood has changed their lives and what it means to belong to their sisterhood, so don't be surprised if you see some tears! Although emotions may be running high everyone will be waiting with smiling faces and open arms to greet you on Bid Day!
